A Heart at Rest

As I was setting up this blog site, it asked what I wanted to call my blog. A few titles came to mind, but then I remembered what I desire most and what I desire for every woman in this fallen word to possess ... a heart at rest. That seemed like the most appropriate title for my blog. Please understand, these are just my thoughts and what the Lord lays on my heart to share.

I think I see it even more today after being healed, how many women are restless, not content, striving and hurting. I still find myself suffering from these symptoms at times, but, usually, I go straight to the Lord for peace and comfort.

Being restless or "on edge" are never fun feelings. It's like no matter what you do, no matter who you are with, there is no peace about you. You know it, and there might be even someone near you that knows it too.

Something deep down inside is getting to you. And as a result, it can surface and affect your life.

The Lord is the only that can go to that deep, hidden spot in your heart and heal it. He is the only one that will ever so gently and tenderly help you deal with your wounds. Taking it to your man won't help. He might try to help you for awhile, but soon enough, he won't know what to do and he will get frustrated and give up.

Trying to fix the wound without God will never fix it. It will only be a temporary fix and before you know it, it will need fixing again.

So I urge you, lovely ladies, to take your wound, your deepest wound to Him. Let him heal you. It's worth it. Believe me! And once you do, you too can possess a heart at rest.
